Prior to launching RealWorld Marketing Inc., Jay Wilson owned one of the most successful automotive advertising agencies in the United States, J. Wilson & Associates. Through an alliance with General Motors, Jay’s firm became one of four regional retail agencies given the opportunity to manage GM’s Tier 2 advertising business’ including the Pontiac/GMC Associations throughout the U.S. Preceding RealWorld, Jay and Leah owned J. Wilson & Associates, an agency specializing in Oldsmobile, Pontiac and GMC Associations. The agency was acquired in 1996 by Pontiac & Cadillac’s national agency, DMB&B.
Through Jay’s leadership, RealWorld has evolved into Tier 2 automotive experts, representing the Acura and Honda brands. Today, Jay continues to provide strategic and innovative marketing initiatives for each Tier 2 Association, coast to coast.
With over 30 years’ of experience in the automotive industry, Leah Wilson, co-owner of RealWorld Marketing, is the agency’s notable “Chick in Charge”, or CIC and is directly involved in day-to-day client operations. Leah’s experience ranges from selling cars on the showroom floor to previously owning one of the nation’s largest direct mail companies headquartered in Detroit, Michigan.
In 1999, Leah and Jay co-founded RealWorld, becoming an ultimate force to be reckoned with. Over the years, Leah has developed and implemented numerous award-winning marketing programs for dealer associations across the country. She continues to play a prominent role within the agency, personally overseeing and managing every account west of the Mississippi River, in addition to a number of accounts in the Eastern region.
